Carmel Davies

Carmel has wide experience teaching EAL/D focussing on literacy and employment skills. She has written and co-written numerous EAL/D resources including What’s the Law? Australian Law for New Arrivals, Pictures to Words Book and Sing with me. She was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to travel and research ESL through Performance and is currently presenting workshops on song and EAL/D. Her latest project has been The May St Stories -readers for post beginners. Bio, Sharon Duff: Sharon has been teaching English for more than 20 years to immigrants of all language levels from diverse cultural backgrounds. She has created numerous teaching materials, including writing text book and e-learning resources for the Australia-wide Distance Learning course Your call. She has also co-authored the Sing With Me series. Sharon has delivered workshops and papers on a wide range of topics designed to enhance the language-learning environment.
